Fire and Emergency Services Eastern Plumas Rural Fire Protection District
The City contracts with Eastern Plumas Rural Fire Protection District for emergency medical and fire response calls. Please call the District at (530) 832-5626 if you have questions. Portola PoolThe Portola Pool Season begins Memorial Day weekend end and runs through Labor Day weekend. The pool offers swim lessons, party rentals, lap swim and water aerobics classes. Contact City Hall during business hours at 530-832-6803 or during the Pool open hours at 530-832-5766.
Parks and RecreationThe City of Portola has many parks available for your use and enjoyment. At this time all use of the parks are free. The City Park is located on South Gulling across from City Hall and has B-B-Q areas and a covered Gazebo and is next to the Portola Swimming Pool. It is the biggest park in the City so it is very popular in the summer and we ask that you call City Hall (530) 832-6803 to put your name down so you can enjoy your next gathering on a first come basis.
Baldwin Park is located on Joy Way on the north side of town and hosts a new play structure for the kids and a groomed bike trail. The Clock Park is located on the corner of Commercial and Gulling Streets. You can't miss the "Olde Time Clock" and all the charm this park has to offer. The City of Portola offers many activities such as a Volleyball Court, Horseshoe Pits and the Skate Park. |
